GRACE TO OVERCOME LIFE’S STORMS

GRACE TO OVERCOME LIFE’S STORMS

And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship …and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish? And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. And he said unto them, why are ye so fearful? How is it that ye have no faith?’ (Mark 4:37-41 KJV)

Storms come suddenly. We don’t plan to experience storms but they come at one time or the other in our lives. Storms are not dependent on our level of spirituality. Jesus was in the boat but the storm still came. However, whenever we face life’s storms, God wants us to conquer them.

NEVER MAKE A SHIPWRECK OF YOUR FAITH
Today, I want to encourage you that no matter the storm you are facing, never make a shipwreck of your faith. Never lose your faith. Jesus asked the disciples, ‘Where is your faith?’ Our faith is built to withstand storms. A song writer wrote, ‘Will your anchor hold in the storms of life?’ Jesus is our anchor and He has given us power to overcome. You must rise up in faith to rebuke the storm. With faith you can stand to face life’s challenges, with faith you can do exploits and with faith you can subdue every storm.

NOTHING CAN SEPARATE US FROM THE LOVE OF GOD
When storms come, we must never forget that nothing can separate us from the love of God. Sometimes people say, ‘God doesn’t care about me.’ But Paul asked, ‘What can separate us from the love of God? Can tribulation? Or distress?’ To advance in life, we must stop looking at situations from human angle; we must see it from God’s viewpoint. We must realize that God loves us and that He will never withhold any good thing from us. We are spiritually built and fortified in times of storm. Storms make us strong; they prepare us for a promotion and takes us to the next level in God’s agenda.

I pray the Lord will increase your faith and grant you victory over every disease and challenge this week in Jesus name, Amen.
