TRUSTING GOD THROUGH LIFE’S CHALLENGES

Trusting God is holding to the firm belief of God’s Sovereignty and immense ability to do what He has promised. Even when the future seems hazy and the promises seem uncertain, trust keeps us believing in God. Trust is holding on to our faith when the going is tough.

Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.

Proverbs 3:5-6

When Mary received the message from the Angel of the Lord, she trusted God simply for her life. In Luke 1:38 (KJV), she said,

Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy Word.

Our response to God should reflect a heart of absolute obedience and trust in His divine will for us.

‘TRUSTING GOD’ MEANS PUTTING GOD AT THE DRIVER’S SEAT OF OUR LIVES

God knows the path of our life and He knows the way. He is the only person that can drive us safely to our destination. Job says,

But he knows the way that I take; when he has tested me, I will come forth as gold.

Job 23:10 NIV

Proverbs 4:18 (KJV) says,

But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.

Let go of the instinct to control and direct your life and put God on the driver’s seat. Let Him lead your way and guide your paths.

LEARN TO TRUST GOD DAILY

We may not have the full understanding of God’s vision for our lives but we can trust Him daily for wisdom to do that which He has committed into our hands. The Psalmist said,

Day unto day utters speech, and night unto night reveals knowledge.

Psalm 19:2 NKJV

Many of us fret and worry so much about the unseen future that we lose the joy of living ‘today.’ Psalm 68:19 says, ‘Blessed be the Lord, who daily loads us with benefits, the God of our salvation! (NKJV). Trust God daily for grace and develop a day to day compartment in your walk with Him.

YOU CAN TRUST GOD WITH YOUR DESTINY

Rekindle your childhood faith in God, and trust Him whole-hardheartedly to perfect your destiny in life.

Psalm 37:37 says,

Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright: for the end of that man is peace.

Learn to trust Him to direct your ways and never forget this: God is eternally committed to you. He will keep His covenant with you from generation to generation.

The LORD will perfect that which concerns me; Your mercy, O LORD, endures forever; Do not forsake the works of Your hands.’ The New Living Translation of that verse says, ‘The LORD will work out his plans for my life – for your faithful love, O LORD, endures forever.

Psalm 138:8 (NKJV)

God loves and cares about you. He is concerned about your situation; your health, job, family, and finances. Even when you cannot see His hands, you can always trust that His heart is good. Don’t faint, don’t lose faith, keep hope alive and keep trusting. He will surely come through for you.
