PRAYERS THAT GET RESULTS (II)

prayers

Therefore, make it your habit to confess your sins to one another and to pray for one another, so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective’ (James 5:16).
Prayer unleashes the mysteries of God. In praying, we know God’s intention; He grants us deep insight into the situations of life; He illuminates our minds. Where else can we find support to handle the stressful and demanding issues of life, if not in the place of prayers. Sometimes prayer doesn’t answer to our situations, but strengthens us with the ability to face the situation.

GREAT PRAYERS MUST COME IN CONTACT WITH THE PRESENCE OF GOD
Your prayers must open the heavens to get results. That is why it has to be consistent and persistent until it reaches the threshold that connects with heaven and gets God’s attention. Cultivate the habit of drawing near to God; yearn to be in His presence always. That is when you will sustain the momentum that will achieve the connection that produces results. Psalm 27:8 says, ‘My heart says of you, ‘Seek his face!’ Your face, Lord, I will seek” (NIV).

GREAT PRAYERS MAKE POWER AVAILABLE
James 5:16 reads, ‘The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available (dynamic in its working)’ (AMP). The Message Bible translates that verse as ‘The prayer of a person living right with God is something powerful to be reckoned with.’ The power may come in the form of a solution to the problem, a ground-breaking idea, inner strength to go through the challenge or spiritual reinforcement to contend with the powers of evil. Just keep paying and keep listening to God for the next direction.

GREAT PRAYERS BEGIN WITH WORSHIP AND END WITH WORSHIP
Worship ushers you into the presence of God. King David was a man who enjoyed worshipping God. In Psalm 95:6, he declared. ‘O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the LORD our maker.’ In Psalm 100:2, he said, ‘Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs.’ The Bible referred to David as a man after God’s heart. “Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth” (John 4:23-24). We were made to worship God and our prayers must be an embodiment of worship, if we will receive answers to our petitions.

What do you desire of the Lord? Come before Him in worship, revere His name and seek His presence. May the Lord answer the requests of your heart and grant you great testimonies.
