GOD WILL USE YOU (III)

‘Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?” And I said, “Here am I. Send me!’ (Isaiah 6:8)
In the last two weeks, we have discussed extensively on the vessel God will use. God is in the business of using men and women for his great purposes here on earth. Though unfit, God uses willing and obedient people to accomplish great and mighty feats. Today we will be having the last article in this series.
What determines the vessel God will use?
GOD WILL USE A VESSEL THAT PRESENTS TO HIM, HIS UNIQUE SERVING POTENTIAL
What is your unique serving potential? It is that ability that is peculiar to you. It is your area of strength, your unique giftings and inherent capabilities. It is amazing the way people flourish when they serve God in their areas of strength. Just as putting a round peg in a round hole makes a proper fitting; such people perform victorious exploits in the service of God. God asked Moses – ‘What is that in your hand?” “A shepherd’s staff,” Moses replied.’ (Exodus 4:2). And God used it to perform a miracle. God is asking us the same question today – ‘What do you have in your hands? What have I deposited in you? What do you do effortlessly without struggle? I have need of it!’ The Body of Christ requires it for use. When you present it to the Lord, He will use it for His glory.
GOD WILL USE A VESSEL WHO IS UNDEFILED
We are in a generation that sees sin as fun and jokes with the things of God. However, the standards of the Lord have not changed. God will not use the defiled. He needs a vessel that is pure and daily striving for holiness. We are expected to partake of His divine nature and run from the sinfulness of this world. 2 Peter 1:4 says, ‘And because of his glory and excellence, he has given us great and precious promises. These are the promises that enable you to share his divine nature and escape the world’s corruption caused by human desires’ (NLT). Sin drains and destroys the anointing; it pollutes the work. In 2 Corinthians 6:14, Paul instructed, ‘Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness’ (ESV). Concerning Jesus, the Scriptures say, ‘Such a high priest truly meets our need—one who is holy, blameless, pure, set apart from sinners, exalted above the heavens’ (Hebrews 7:26 NIV). Christ is our model; He is the standard that we must follow, if we will be used of God.
GOD USES YOU, SO HE CAN DO UNSTOPPABLE AND UNSPEAKABLE THINGS THROUGH YOU.
God is the Almighty, the All-powerful and He is ready to do mighty things through us. Daniel 11:32b says, ‘…the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.’ Moses parted the Red Sea; Joshua told the Sun to stand still and reversed the diurnal settings of time. Elijah prayed and it did not rain for three and a half years. 1 Kings 17:1 says, ‘Now Elijah the Tishbite, of Tishbe in Gilead, said to Ahab, “As the Lord the God of Israel lives, before whom I stand, there shall be neither dew nor rain these years, except by my word’ (NRSV). And he prayed again and it rained. With his cloak Elijah parted the River Jordan and Elisha did the same. We can go on and on to talk about great and mighty deeds done by men of God. Our Lord Jesus Christ performed several miracles and He promised, ‘“I tell you the truth, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father’ (John 14:12).
WHEN GOD USES YOU, HE WILL UNDERTAKE FOR YOU IN EVERY WAY.
As we serve in the vineyard of the Lord and release ourselves for the Master’s use, God undertakes for us. He protects and shields us from the darts of the enemy; He fulfils His promises concerning our lives. He provides for our needs and delivers us from the troubles of this world. In Deuteronomy 31:6, He promised ‘Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.’
When we yield to the calling of the Lord, He will use us for his great and miraculous works and will defend His name in our lives. God bless you.
