GOD WILL USE YOU (II)

GOD WILL USE YOU (II)

‘Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?” And I said, “Here am I. Send me!’ (Isaiah 6:8)
God’s work requires men and women, who are ready to run with the vision; who are ready to raise the flag of the Lord in every continent and every nation of the earth. Last week, we started a series on the person God will use. I wrote that God uses the unfit, the loyal and every situation of our lives for His glory.
This week, we will continue on the attributes that determines who God uses.

GOD WILL USE A VESSEL THAT UNDERSTANDS HIS TIMES AND SEASONS
The concept of times and seasons is important in our service in the vineyard. There is always a period of sowing and that of reaping. There is a time when you are quietly serving as an unknown worker and there comes a time when God promotes you. The Bible says, ‘For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven.’ (Ecclesiastes 3:1 ESV). “As long as the earth endures, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night will never cease’ (Genesis 8:22). You must understand your season in order to effectively function in God’s divine purpose.

GOD WILL USE A VESSEL THAT TRUST HIS UNLIMITED POWER
To trust God is to believe in His ability to do what He has promised to do. We must exhibit great confidence in God’s exceeding great power. God can be trusted; just trust him. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, ‘Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make straight your paths.’ Trusting God is the key to unlimited success in service.

GOD WILL USE A VESSEL THAT UNDERSTANDS HIS UNFOLDING WORK
The work of God gradually unfolds to reveal new horizons. God does not reveal everything at a time neither does he grant all the answers to our prayers at once. He allows for a gradual unveiling of His plans and purposes. This is to prevent us from being overwhelmed by the extent of the assignment. He told the Israelites. ‘But I will not drive them out in a single year, because the land would become desolate and the wild animals too numerous for you. Little by little I will drive them out before you, until you have increased enough to take possession of the land’ (Exodus 23:29-30 NIV).

God will use when you understand your season in His plans, trust in His unlimited power and understand His unfolding work. May the Lord strengthen your hands to be fruitful in His service. We will take the last part of this series next week. God bless you.
